Ensures these instructions are understood by asking for feedback and return demonstrations from patients or caregivers. Advises patients and family members on self-care and independence methods that promote a healthcare partnership. Assists senior staff in administrative matters and operations as appropriate. Utilizes the hospital computer system to obtain patient information and stay informed on directives. Participates in the timely flow of information via digital platforms as appropriate. Provides summaries of results and statistics as required. Assists in acquiring and fitting durable medical equipment/devices based on patient needs. Communicates with supervisors and providers to measure, fit, and deliver equipment and maintain stock. Maintains supply stocks and clinical equipment at acceptable levels. Remains current on billing procedures to aid in service reimbursement. Maintains cleanliness of clinical space. Educates staff on physical therapy-related issues and informs patients/families about functional limitations and therapeutic goals. Assists in committee and management duties and represents the Client Department as needed. Provides consultations, presentations, and in-services to various personnel regarding therapy services. Adheres to regulatory and practice standards set by the relevant professional bodies. Follows confidentiality and quality assurance standards; participates in quality management functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
