    Travel Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Days)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | 5 Days / 8-Hour Shifts | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine the physical and cognitive status of outpatients, considering diagnosis and age-specific needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, incorporating patient and family participation as appropriate.
    • Maintain thorough and timely documentation including initial evaluations, daily and weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required notations.
    • Participate in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and interdepartmental meetings; provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
    • Assist with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistant student programs, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers.
    • Support departmental operations including Performance Improvement activities, productivity standards, scheduling, and orientation of new staff.
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required.
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience.
    • Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist as outlined by the applicable state examining council.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy setting.
    • Familiarity with supervising Physical Therapy Assistants or student clinical programs.
    • Experience participating in Performance Improvement or program development initiatives.
