PT - Physical Therapist
Job Details:
• Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy• Outpatient physical therapy position
• 8-hour shift from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Full-time schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements
• Blocked scheduling not accommodated
• Dress code: Khaki pants and white polo
• Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems using physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care for patients
• Perform and direct administration of all physical therapy modalities including therapeutic exercises, hot moist packs, cryotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, continuous passive motion, paraffin, soft tissue mobilization, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility training
• Verify physician orders prior to evaluation and evaluate each patient before administering treatments
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team throughout the care process
• Maintain contact with referring physicians regarding patient progress and recommend treatment changes as needed
• Assemble and organize home programs for patients and provide patient and family education
• Direct and oversee PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants during physical therapy treatments
• Maintain accurate records of all patient treatments including subjective and objective information, assessments, and plans
• Complete discharge summaries and send to referring physicians as indicated
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Maintain productivity standards and ensure charges correlate with treatment session documentation
• Required: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
• Required: BLS certification from AHA
