Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Neuro Specialty)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Maintain clear, concise, accurate, and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, and actively pursue continuing education and professional development
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Missouri
- Specialty experience in neurology (Neuro) is required
- Proficiency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and functional goal writing
- Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal documentation and compliance standards
- Commitment to patient and employee safety practices in a clinical setting
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
- Involvement in professional organizations or ongoing continuing education beyond state-mandated requirements
