Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services to an average daily census of approximately 25 patients, shared across a small therapy team
Conduct 8–12 patient visits per day across orthopaedic and geriatric populations
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in alignment with individualized patient care plans
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient progress and discharge planning
Participate in facility orientation, including completion of required training modules
Be prepared to serve on an emergency response or relief team in the event of a declared emergency, as directed by unit management
Required Qualifications
Active Louisiana State Physical Therapy License or compact license — must be in hand at time of submittal
Current BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in specialty — new graduates will not be considered
Specialization or strong experience in orthopaedics and geriatrics
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) — local travelers are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel therapy experience is a plus; first-time travelers will be considered
Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced inpatient or outpatient therapy environments
