Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient acute care physical therapy services to adult and geriatric populations across multiple units including ICU, telemetry, medical, and surgical floors. Provide inpatient acute care physical therapy services to adult and geriatric populations across multiple units including ICU, telemetry, medical, and surgical floors
Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary diagnoses in an inpatient setting
Participate in early mobility programs including vent early mobility (Level 2) and stroke rehabilitation under JCAHO Stroke Certification standards
Float between inpatient units as needed to support departmental coverage and patient care continuity
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, residents, telemedicine intensivists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy staff available 24/7
Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing
Current BLS certification
Experience in inpatient acute care physical therapy
Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Cerner EMR
Ability to wear required department dress code: burgundy polo or long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and appropriate footwear
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ventilator-dependent patients and early mobility protocols
Familiarity with JCAHO Stroke Certification programs and NIH Stroke Scale
Experience in a Joint Commission-certified Total Joint Program (elective hips and knees)
Prior travel therapy experience in an acute hospital setting
