Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments primarily within an inpatient rehab unit (approximately 90% of caseload)
- Cover mid-level critical care floors, med-surgical floors, and orthopedic floor as needed
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 inpatient rehab patients per day and complete all documentation within an 8-hour shift
- Meet a productivity standard of 22 units per 8-hour day
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP staff
- Transition between two facility locations across the contract period, with the first assignment in one location followed by a second assignment at a separate site
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Texas
- Demonstrated experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehab settings — not a new graduate position
- Ability to work independently, including as the sole PT on-site at a given location
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete all charting within a standard 8-hour shift
- Ability to meet established productivity standards (22 units per 8-hour day)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting
- Comfort working across multiple units including orthopedic and med-surgical floors
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekend shifts when mutually beneficial
