Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments primarily within an inpatient rehab unit (approximately 90% of caseload), with additional coverage on ortho and med-surgical floors
- Occasionally cover evaluations and/or treatments in acute care settings including mid-level critical care floors
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 inpatient rehab patients per 8-hour shift, completing all associated documentation within the shift
- Meet a productivity expectation of 22 units per 8-hour day
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including fellow PTs, OTs, and SLPs
- Adapt to a rotational coverage model across two facility locations during the contract period
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Texas (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings — this role is not appropriate for new graduates
- Ability to work independently as a sole clinician on site when assigned to the secondary location
- Strong documentation skills with ability to complete all charting within an 8-hour shift
- Willingness to treat patients in an inpatient rehab unit environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in inpatient rehab (IRF) settings
- Familiarity with ortho and med-surgical patient populations
- Flexibility and comfort working in varied clinical environments across multiple locations
