    Longview, TX | Acute Rehab

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Days | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Weekend hours as needed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess patients' needs and identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions across a wide variety of diagnoses including CVA, Parkinson's, Spinal Cord Injury, TBI, Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Amputee, and Medically Complex cases
    • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Technicians
    • Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary patient care team members to maintain standards for professional physical therapy practice
    • Observe and evaluate treatment effectiveness and progress toward short- and long-term goals, recommending changes to the physician as needed
    • Document patient care accurately using the facility's EHR system (Wellsky)
    Required Qualifications
    • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) is required
    • Current BLS/CPR certification is required
    • Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous experience across all aspects of physical therapy, including neurological and orthopedic populations
    • Experience with neuro diagnoses such as CVA, Parkinson's, TBI, or Spinal Cord Injury
    • Proficiency with Wellsky or similar EHR platforms
    • Additional language skills beyond English
