    Key Responsibilities
    • Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
    • Develop goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance, coordinated with physician orders.
    • Submit and maintain written treatment plans as part of the authorized plan of care, updating as patient status changes and co-signing verbal orders received by Physical Therapist Assistants as necessary.
    • Devise frequency- and duration-specific treatment schedules in collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff.
    • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding their condition, prognosis, treatment rationale, and interventions including rest, exercise, and modalities.
    • Delegate appropriate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides in accordance with physical therapy standards and governing policies.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Michigan Physical Therapist (PT) license verified as Active through LARA.
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
    • Demonstrated Physical Therapist experience in an outpatient setting.
    • Current Skills Checklist (within the past year) pertinent to Physical Therapy.
    • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
    • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility location; local candidates will not be considered.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Acute care experience is highly preferred.
    • Experience delegating to and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides.
