Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy services to patients across assigned caseload with a staffing ratio of 1:14
Deliver rehabilitative care with a focus on functional recovery and patient progress
Work 8 weekend shifts per contract period as part of the standard schedule
Participate in facility orientation, including completion of required training modules
Be prepared to serve on an Emergency Team if assigned by unit manager during emergency events, which may require remaining at the facility until the event passes or serving on a relief team
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist license in Louisiana (compact or LA state license required in hand at time of submittal)
BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on your driver's license to the facility address) — local travelers are not accepted
No call-ins permitted; reliability and attendance are strictly required
Candidates with a pending license must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing
Must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 full year if previously employed as permanent staff or in-house agency contractor
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in trauma, stroke, or ICU settings
