Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and comprehensive, age-appropriate patient assessments to determine deficits and establish realistic rehabilitation plans of care
• Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, prognosis, and physician communications in patient medical records in a timely manner
• Facilitate patient mobility skills utilizing safe patient handling techniques and equipment; adapt environments and materials to promote functional mobility
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment procedures, home programs, and strategies to support continued progress outside of therapy
• Supervise and provide direction to physical therapist assistants and therapy technicians; collaborate with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to coordinate care
• Participate in continuing education, CQI activities, and student mentorship to maintain clinical competencies and support professional development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program
• Active North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience supervising physical therapist assistants or therapy support staff
• Background in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation settings with 1:1 patient care focus
