Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and identify functional deficits requiring physical therapy intervention
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic treatment plans in accordance with PT discipline standards
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions using standard hospital equipment
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes using the facility EMR system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge staff and PTAs to ensure continuity of care
- Manage a patient caseload within established unit ratios in an acute hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Texas Physical Therapy licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience in a hospital setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a large acute care or medical center environment
- Familiarity with MEDITECT or similar hospital EMR platforms
