Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for clinical care
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, designing functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements while maintaining professional licensure in good standing
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Ability to conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments in an outpatient setting
  • Proficiency in clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and state practice act requirements
  • Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
