    Key Responsibilities
    • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
    • Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments; utilize clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
    • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
    • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients; ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
    • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision and completing student evaluations
    • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (California)
    • Outpatient physical therapy experience required — new graduates will not be considered
    • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop functional treatment programs
    • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state practice acts
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with clinical documentation systems and familiarity with insurance authorization processes
    • Prior experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
    • Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
