Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, designing functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, development of learning objectives, and completion of student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Virginia
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates will not be considered)
Experience in an outpatient therapy setting
Ability to float between clinic locations to support patient access as needed
Compliance with all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
Demonstrated experience with functional treatment program design focused on return to community activities
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
Experience mentoring or supervising Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting
