    Physical Therapist – Adult Outpatient

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adult outpatient populations across a wide range of diagnoses
    • Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans of care based on ongoing assessment of patient response to optimize outcomes
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, referring providers, and care conference participants to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
    • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, self-care strategies, and methods to promote independence and rehabilitative potential
    • Assist in acquisition, fitting, and management of durable medical equipment and maintain appropriate supply and equipment levels
    • Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants, support staff, students, and interns as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required at time of submission
    • Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; or graduate of an APTA-approved program at the master's or bachelor's level with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience demonstrating doctoral-level knowledge
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Valid driver's license required
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working across both inpatient and outpatient settings
    • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer billing procedures
    • Experience providing in-services, presentations, or educational programs to medical staff and interdisciplinary teams
