Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments, utilizing clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
  • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Ohio
  • Experience performing comprehensive patient evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans in an outpatient setting
  • Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control practices
  • Ability to adhere to professional codes of conduct and organizational compliance policies
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
  • Active involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives
