Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to progress patients toward discharge goals
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions; coordinate equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and discharge planning
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and discharge documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance authorization requirements
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Missouri
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and applicable state and federal regulations
• Ability to complete thorough and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and payer standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and caseload management in a hospital environment
