Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services on a 44-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Perform stroke evaluation and treatment, including manual therapy for neuro re-education and neuromuscular re-education
- Deliver therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, self-care, and functional electrical stimulation
- Utilize specialized equipment including Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
- Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
- May float to the acute hospital setting when inpatient rehab census is low
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Active Physical Therapist license valid in Virginia
- Experience in inpatient hospital and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Proficiency with stroke evaluation and treatment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working within a Joint Commission Stroke Certified facility
- Familiarity with AIDET communication framework and service recovery practices
- Experience working within OT/PT collaborative team models
