Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pediatric physical therapy evaluations and treatments in both school-based and hospital-based outpatient environments, serving patients from birth to 21 years of age
- Perform developmental assessments, orthopedic assessments, gait evaluations, and assess orthotic and adaptive equipment needs
- Participate in IEPs, 504 plans, and triennial evaluations; develop short- and long-term therapy goals in collaboration with school-based case managers and support staff
- Administer standardized assessments including Peabody, Bruininks-Oseretsky, GMFM, and School Function Assessment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic/One Chart electronic medical record system; provide training to patients, parents, caregivers, and support staff
- Travel independently between school sites and hospital-based outpatient locations within the local area using personal vehicle; occasional coverage for acute care pediatric patients as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Therapy
- Active North Dakota Physical Therapist (PT) License required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) for healthcare workers required
- Current, valid driver's license and clean driving record required; personal vehicle needed for travel between sites
- Ability to work independently in both school-based and hospital-based outpatient settings
- Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of pediatric physical therapy experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in school-based therapy settings, including familiarity with IEP processes and educational team collaboration
- Proficiency with standardized pediatric assessments (Peabody, Bruininks-Oseretsky, GMFM, School Function Assessment)
- Experience with pediatric therapy equipment such as standers, gait trainers, wheelchairs, and adaptive devices
