Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | Rotating weekends every 3 to 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services within an acute care hospital setting, including ICU/CCU patients
• Deliver therapy services to patients recovering from cardiac procedures such as open heart surgery, TAVR, and LVAD implants
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with hospitalists, case managers, and nursing staff using facility communication platforms
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis, potentially serving as the sole PT on duty
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Maintain a high standard of patient safety, time management, and professional conduct within a small, team-oriented environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Acute care experience, including ICU/CCU settings
• Ability to function independently as the sole PT on weekends when needed
• Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Wound care experience or certification
• Experience working in a cardiac or specialty acute care environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
