Description:
ASAP start needed.
This position is for outpatient physical therapy coverage.
The patient population primarily consists of adults and school-aged children with non-pediatric developmental diagnoses.
Common diagnoses include post-orthopedic and post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalances.
Evaluations are booked for 60 minutes while follow-up treatments last 45 minutes.
The therapist will practice single patient care.
On average, 8-10 patients will be seen per day, although this number may vary.
The clinic supports a small team of physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, who supervises the clinic.
Initial evaluations will be scheduled by a rehab office coordinator, while physical therapists will manage follow-ups.
Electronic medical records will be managed using Cerner.
There is a possibility of floating to assist with outpatient or inpatient needs at a nearby facility, but advanced notice will be provided.
The rehab department is closed on six major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Therapists are expected to work during all other holidays as scheduled.
Business casual or any solid colored, professional scrubs are acceptable for attire.
