Skills required include acute care, rehabilitation hospital experience, and knowledge of body mechanics.
Familiarity with patient diagnoses including but not limited to falls, CVA, trauma, and various post-operative conditions is essential.
Description:
The focus for total joint replacements is same-day discharge.
Last evaluation starts at 5:00 PM.
Daily patient case load averages 8 patients per day.
Weekend shifts required: 2 shifts per month.
Clinicians will work with various age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient family education is essential.
Experience with cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease, and spinal cord injuries is preferred.
Strong engagement in post-stroke rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury care is beneficial.
No on-call requirement or floating among areas is necessary.
Travelers are encouraged to bring skills from previous acute care settings.
