Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Petaluma, CA 94954

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Petaluma, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), 13-week assignment. 40 hours of orientation provided. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:
  • Acute care inpatient physical therapy with primarily medical-surgical and hospitalist referrals
  • Potential for mixed inpatient and outpatient caseload providing diverse clinical experience
  • Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Opportunity to work independently with strong time management autonomy, serving as sole therapist on weekends
  • No wound care required
Requirements:
  • Active California state Physical Therapy license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience; at least 1 year required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Preferred experience in inpatient and outpatient settings with adult populations
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Candidates must reside outside 50-mile local radius
