Fort Bragg sits on the Mendocino Coast with direct access to Glass Beach and Noyo Headlands Park, offering a coastal setting for travelers who prefer outdoor recreation. MacKerricher State Park is about 3 miles north of town and includes coastal trails, tide pools, and access to Ten Mile Beach. Mendocino is about 10 miles south and features galleries, blufftop paths, and the Mendocino Headlands State Park. The Skunk Train depot in nearby Willits is roughly 40 miles inland and provides a rail route through redwood forest, while the Pacific coastline offers kayaking and harbor access in the Noyo area.
