Description:
The role involves evaluating and treating patients with cancer-related impairments, including pain, fatigue, lymphedema, and functional limitations.
The goal is to improve quality of life and mobility for patients.
Individualized, evidence-based exercise programs will be created, and patient education will be provided.
Coordination of care with oncologists is essential.
Responsibilities include managing musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular needs.
Physical therapy helps build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance.
It assists with adapting to artificial limbs, controlling bowel or bladder functions, and elevating athletic performance.
Physical therapy is beneficial for managing chronic illnesses and recovering from surgeries or injuries.
Experience with standard physical therapy modalities is expected, and device-specific training will be provided.
The typical patient population is primarily adults, but experience with all age groups is welcome.
Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload.
No more than five days of time off will be accepted; less is preferred.
Travelers must work during select holidays and weekends as needed.
Dress code includes personal scrubs of any color or business casual attire (athleisure/stretchy clothing is acceptable, but no leggings or crop shirts).
No open-toe or back shoes are allowed.
Travelers without voicemail set up will be redirected when contacted.
