Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a full patient caseload across assigned care settings by end of the first week of orientation
  • Provide physical therapy services to patients with diagnoses including spinal cord injuries, TBI, strokes, amputations, multiple trauma, hip fractures, bilateral knee replacements, post-cardiac surgery, post-COVID, and medically complex conditions
  • Deliver outpatient PT services for general orthopedic (surgical and non-surgical), sports medicine, pediatric developmental, neurological, and spinal conditions as applicable to assigned location
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, an assistant director, and peer therapists
  • Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Meditech Expanse for Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care; Wellsky for Outpatient; AOD transitioning to Meditech Expanse for Skilled Nursing)
Required Qualifications
  • Current Louisiana Physical Therapist (PT) license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy specialty
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a patient caseload
  • Experience working with the patient populations and diagnoses listed above
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel therapy experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered based on experience and skillset
  • Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and/or Wellsky EMR platforms
  • Experience across multiple care settings (inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, or skilled nursing)
