Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
May be asked to precept, as needed by the unit.
Department has a mix of patients treated per day with a combination of inpatient and outpatient care.
General certifications are required for all physical therapists.
Common diagnoses and types of patients include general, wound care, orthopedic, neurological, and debility.
Acute care and outpatient care responsibilities will involve a variety of diagnoses.
Experience or skills in wound care is preferred but not required.
The unit has supportive nursing and therapy staff.
Common cases include fractures, orthopedic injuries, neck pain, and a small percentage of neurological cases and amputations.
The unit does not care for acutely ill patients.
Any specialized cases are transferred to a sister facility.
The department uses a specific charting system.
Shifts may involve rotating holiday requirements as discussed during the interview.
Scrubs color is maroon.
Department-specific orientation is provided.
