They will evaluate and treat patients in various units, including orthopedics, spine, rehabilitation, telemedicine, and medical-surgical. The therapist will engage with adult and geriatric patient populations. Typical patient diagnoses include general medical, orthopedic conditions, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. The performance will include assessments and the application of therapeutic techniques. Therapists will also develop and implement plans of care tailored to individual patient needs. The workload includes managing multiple patients per day, ensuring effective rehabilitation, and patient family education. Experience with adaptive devices and assistive equipment is required. A strong understanding of patient evaluation, gait training, and discharge planning is essential. Flexibility in floating between units may be necessary based on facility needs. Travelers will receive a brief orientation to familiarize themselves with unit protocols.
