Current Texas PT license. Current BLS certification. Acute care experience. Description: The unit has 299 acute beds. The staff consists of 10 full-time physical therapists, 1 part-time physical therapist, and 2 full-time physical therapy assistants. There are also 16 PRN physical therapists. For day shift, there are 9 full-time physical therapists. One part-time physical therapist works an extended shift of 10 hours. The patient-to-therapist ratio is 8 patients for full-time physical therapists. The unit uses EMR Meditech for documentation. Preferred or nice-to-have skills include ICU experience and vestibular experience. Typical procedures performed include evaluations and treatments. Ideal personality traits for candidates are flexibility, patience, teamwork, and self-starter mentality. The position requires floating to various areas of the facility, including ER, Surgical, Pre/Post OP, Medical, Telemetry, Neuro-Medical, Stepdown, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU.
