Training in wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.

Description:
This position is for a Physical Therapist specializing in therapy.
The unit has 80 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6 during the day and 1:8 at night.
The staffing consists of 1 Health Unit Coordinator and 2 Rehab Technicians.
The type of equipment available includes Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, Hoyer lifts, Viking lifts, and sliding boards.
Documentation is done using Meditech and RehabConnect systems.
The role is dedicated to the rehab facility, and flexing may occur.
Required skills include hands-on therapeutic techniques and knowledge of relevant medical conditions.
Experience with electronic medical records and compliance is essential.
The therapist will participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary communication.
Family training and durable medical equipment recommendations are part of the responsibilities.
Advanced skills needed include e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, and limb wrapping.
