Acute care hospital experience is a plus. Schedule includes 5 days a week, with 2 weekends included in a 4-week rotation. The rehabilitation therapy services consist of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The team serves an acute care hospital with various specialized floors. Staff consists of full-time physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. The typical patient ratio is not applicable. Equipment includes walking aids, bikes, therapy bars, and treadmills. Electronic medical records system used is Meditech. There is no on-call requirement, and no floating between units is expected. Candidates must work 2 weekend shifts per month as a rotation. The most recruited skill set includes acute care hospital skills and inpatient rehabilitation experience. Candidates without these essential skills will not be considered. Physical therapists must have at least 1 year of experience in acute care and/or inpatient settings. Occupational therapists must meet the same experience requirement. Speech therapists need at least 2 years of full-time acute care hospital experience, with expertise in modified barium swallow studies. Candidates with a background solely in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient settings, or pediatric/school settings will not be considered. Typical procedures include one-on-one treatments with patients and conducting required assessments.
