Job TitleTravel Physical Therapist
LocationBradenton, FL | Acute Care / Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days | Friday-Monday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning across a 28-bed IRF and 383-bed acute care hospital
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8-12 patients per day in acute care
- Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of a collaborative care approach
- Recommend and utilize adaptive devices and equipment, including Vector, LiteGait, and ADL Apartment therapy tools
- Document patient care using the Meditech EMR system
- Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license - required; candidates without an active PT license will not be considered
- Active BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit - required; candidates unwilling to work IRF will not be considered
- Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills - required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
- Stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation experience
- Flexible, team-oriented, and collaborative work style
