Job Summary:
The outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in outpatient care is located in Napa, California. This role involves providing outpatient orthopedic therapy with a focus on patient rehabilitation across diverse clinical settings. The position offers a balanced workload with opportunities to work in outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation environments, promoting a comprehensive scope of practice.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a total of 8 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist; a minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings; experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; candidates with acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience will also be considered.
- Additional Information: The role involves evaluating and treating approximately 10-12 patients daily, with appointments primarily consisting of 30 to 45-minute durations. The facility cares for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a daily census of around 12 patients. The work may include exposure to orthopedics, Geriatrics, and neurological population groups, with clinical responsibilities extending across outpatient, acute, and inpatient settings. Candidates should be willing to work two of the major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year, and be prepared to float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as needed.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
- References: Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required, which may include Charge RNs or Leads.
- Additional Notes: Travelers may be expected to float among nearby hospital facilities or affiliates, and refusal to float may result in assignment termination. Documentation of certifications is required at the time of submission.
