Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to provide orthopedic-focused rehabilitation with exposure to geriatric and neurological populations.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting with a primary focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Additional exposure to geriatric and neurological patient populations
  • Potential for a blended role across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings
  • Day shift schedule, Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
  • Average of 10-12 patients scheduled per day, typically 8-11 seen, including 1-3 evaluations and follow-ups
  • Appointment durations of 30 and 45 minutes
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active or eligible PT license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
  • Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience also considered
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and related specialty caseloads
  • May involve floating between sister facilities as needed
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to start of assignment
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at this healthcare system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employees and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • First-time travelers not considered for this position
