Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic setting within a critical access hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:00 PM), with flexibility for 8 or 10 hour shifts
• No weekend shifts required
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Charting system is Cerner, with any EMR experience accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Skills in modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, and traction preferred
• Proficiency in documentation including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric caseloads
• Facility is a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Scrub color required is grey
• Parking permit required but free; provided during orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous perm or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Day 1 orientation is virtual and at-home, requiring completion of assigned modules by 4:00 PM CST
