Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1+ year of outpatient PT experience and BLS certification.

Details

  • Outpatient PT setting with some acute care coverage in the hospital when needed or when outpatient scheduling allows
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekends required
  • Treats patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac diagnoses, including post-ortho aftercare and generalized weakness

Requirements

  • State license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
  • Experience with assessment and body mechanics
  • Orthopedic experience including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical surgery, post-op shoulder repair, post-op spinal surgery, spinal conditions, total hip replacement, and total knee replacement
  • Neurologic experience including cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include developing home exercise programs and providing patient and family education
