Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and required orthopedic background for a day-shift opportunity in Plymouth, NH.

Details

  • Outpatient setting within a rehabilitation services department
  • Specialized programs include sports medicine, orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Techniques used include instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, and various therapeutic modalities such as iontophoresis, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic ultrasound
  • Also provides biomechanical evaluation for orthotics, balance/fall prevention, and vestibular rehab services
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, 40 hours per week
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapy experience required; no new graduates
  • Outpatient experience required
  • Orthopedic experience required
  • Inpatient experience highly preferred
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Active NH state license required, or compact license accepted
  • License required if applicable
  • Physical Therapy skills checklist required
  • One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required

Additional Information

  • Provides one-on-one, hands-on physical therapy with an emphasis on manual therapy techniques
  • Collaborates closely with surgeons and physicians for coordinated post-surgical care
  • Works with diverse patient populations including sports medicine, orthopedic, and occupational health clients
  • Supports community and clinic-based fall prevention and balance programs
  • Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted
  • Maximum of 5 days of requested RTO permitted during the assignment
