Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Epic charting experience for a hospital-based rehabilitation center.

Details

  • Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation center setting
  • Care settings include acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility (SNF)
  • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with a 1:2 ratio
  • Day shift schedule, either 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Facility hours of operation are 6:30am-8pm, with shift times varying accordingly
  • No weekend or holiday requirements
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • NJ license or NJ Compact Privilege required (license required if applicable)
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience across acute care, outpatient, rehabilitation hospital, and SNF settings
  • Skills in orthopedic rehab including post-op cervical, shoulder, spinal surgery, total hip and knee replacement
  • Skills in neuro rehab including stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, MS, Parkinson's, and cognitive disorders
  • Experience with home exercise programs and patient/family education
  • Pelvic floor certification and vestibular experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurologic patient populations
  • Provides patient and family education including home exercise programs
  • Any color scrubs accepted
  • Flu vaccine required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted; unvaccinated candidates must wear a mask
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
