Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) Located in an outpatient organization, this role involves evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients requiring diverse and comprehensive care. The position emphasizes delivering one-on-one therapy sessions, including initial evaluations and safety assessments, to facilitate patient recovery and functional independence.
Job Details
- Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School, 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience, CPR Certification, and 6 months of highly desired experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
- Maintains accurate, timely medical record documentation, including goal writing and functional indicator assessments, in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Provides care under signed, valid physician orders and insurance approvals, when indicated.
- Participates in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and supervising as appropriate.
- Engages in ongoing professional development through continuing education, self-study, and professional activities.
- Adheres to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintains licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrates understanding of organizational performance improvement initiatives and provides feedback to maximize outcomes.
- Additional Information: Emphasizes safety in all aspects of patient care, including safe handling, infectious disease control, and creating a safe work environment. Demonstrates professional standards, accountability, and alignment with the organizations core values and mission.
