Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or Rehab background.

Details

Long Term Acute Care setting within a Physical Therapy unit
13-week assignment with day shift, 8-hour shifts
No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
New grads considered if they completed a Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation)
LTC or Rehab setting experience required
Active MA state PT license required
License required if applicable
1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and wound care as part of rehabilitation
Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and healthcare team members
Document all treatment minutes and clinical information according to regulatory and company requirements
Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards
No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
