Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

  • Medical Rehabilitation Unit located within a Trauma hospital
  • Primarily serves stroke patients, approximately 40% of caseload
  • Patient ratio of 1 to 5, typically 3-4 patients per day at 90 minutes per session
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:30pm
  • No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
  • Uses Cerner for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • WV PT license required prior to start (pending license accepted); license required if applicable
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Geriatrics and Neurology experience preferred
  • Management or lead experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Open to first-time travelers with sufficient experience
  • Scrub colors other than blue, forest green, or maroon required to differentiate from nursing staff; unit T-shirts provided
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption documented; not required outside this window
  • COVID vaccine not required
  • Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
  • Current Vandalia Health System employees (including affiliated facilities) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
  • No RTO restrictions
