Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatrics Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute and rehab unit, requiring 6 months of strong pediatric experience.

Details

  • Inpatient pediatric acute and rehabilitation unit setting
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Tuesday through Saturday
  • Epic charting system preferred
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of inpatient pediatric post-graduate experience in acute or rehab settings
  • Strong pediatric experience required, though children's hospital experience is not mandatory
  • BLS certification required
  • CA PT license required; license required if applicable, with 60-day practice rule available for out-of-state licensees obtaining CA licensure
  • Experience with pediatric assessment, adaptive equipment, and mobility devices (crutches, gait belt, walkers, Hoyer lift, sliding boards)
  • Knowledge of pediatric conditions including cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and milestone assessment
  • Experience with E-stim modality preferred
  • Experience with post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred

  • Scrub color is flexible, any color accepted
  • Candidates may be required to float within the hospital
  • Maximum RTO of 6 days must be confirmed upfront
  • Traveler is required to work 2 out of 3 holidays
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
  • Free traveler parking provided
