Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient, Chewelah and Colville, Washington. This position provides acute care physical therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings across two nearby work sites. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across a range of diagnoses, developing plans of care, providing rehabilitation interventions, and supporting safe patient mobility.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of physical therapy experience
  • Valid Washington physical therapy license; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Acute care physical therapy experience
  • Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Ability to travel between assigned work sites during the workday
  • Skills in patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, gait training, mobility assistance, therapeutic exercise, patient and family education, vital sign monitoring, safety and injury prevention, discharge planning, and use of assistive and adaptive devices

• Preferred Qualifications: Electronic medical record experience

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts, 7:20 a.m.5:50 p.m., MondayThursday; 40 hours per week

• Additional Information: The position serves adolescent, pediatric, adult, infant, and geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Inpatient care may include patients with deconditioning, weakness, impaired balance, impaired mobility, sepsis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, and postoperative orthopedic or spine conditions. Outpatient care may include cerebrovascular accident rehabilitation, orthopedics, balance training, and deconditioning. The therapy team includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals. Equipment may include mechanical lifts, standing lifts, parallel bars, therapy stairs, and stationary exercise equipment.
