Job Summary
Physical Therapist, Inpatient This position provides physical therapy services in an acute inpatient setting, covering emergency department and medical-surgical areas. The role supports patients with conditions including total joint procedures, cerebrovascular accidents, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and sepsis.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts with 10-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week. Scheduling options include five 8-hour shifts with flexible weekend coverage 23 days per month or four 10-hour shifts from SundayWednesday or WednesdaySaturday. Holidays rotate.
- Required Qualifications: Active Arizona Physical Therapist (PT) license in hand or a compact-eligible license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); at least one year of experience outside clinical rotations; understanding of pathology, laboratory values, and interdisciplinary communication.
- Additional Information: Acute inpatient care setting with coverage of the emergency department and medical-surgical areas. Typical caseload is 810 patients per day and may include total joint procedures, cerebrovascular accidents, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and sepsis. Physical therapist assistants are available. Royal blue scrubs are required. The assignment is scheduled to begin on 12/14/2026.
