Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) Location not specified. This position involves providing therapeutic physical therapy services in an acute inpatient setting, primarily covering acute rehabilitation and secondary coverage for skilled nursing facility (SNF) and intermediate care facility (ICF) rehabilitative services. The role requires evaluating and re-evaluating residents and patients, developing ongoing therapeutic programs, and collaborating with medical staff.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Hawaii state license by start of assignment; minimum 6 months work experience in at least one of the following settings working with adults (acute, rehab hospital, SNF); Certifications include BLS; no minimum years of experience required beyond the 6 months specified.
  • Schedule: Variable shifts Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, or Sunday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend employee health appointment on Friday. Candidate must work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept includes Meditech electronic medical record.
  • Submission requirements: Candidate must have Hawaii license prior to the start date. This role involves primary inpatient acute experience with coverage in acute rehab, and secondary coverage in SNF and ICF settings. Candidates will evaluate residents/patients, plan, and implement therapeutic programs, and provide consulting services as prescribed by physicians and specialists.
