Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position requiring home health experience and a Michigan PT license.

Details

  • Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo counties
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend
  • No call or floating requirements

Requirements

  • Michigan PT license required (if applicable)
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required, with home health experience specifically needed
  • Valid Michigan driver's license required, along with daily availability of a car for business use and proof of insurance
  • Documentation must be completed in the electronic health record per compliance timelines

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and administering physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or musculoskeletal, nerve, and joint conditions
  • Duties include interdisciplinary rounds, treatment planning, family and community education, and patient goal setting
  • May design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices as needed
  • May be required to cross-train and provide coverage at other departments within Rehabilitation Services
  • Proof of flu vaccination required with submission; exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of signing
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
  • RTO limited to no more than 10 days
  • Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
