Position Description:
The role involves delivering physical therapy treatments in patients' homes, assisted living facilities, senior apartments, and care homes, primarily serving the community around Sacramento. The therapist will manage up to 2 different Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) support staff, with a focus on ortho, cardio, pulmonary, oncology, neuro, geriatric, and amputee populations.
Required Qualifications:
California Physical Therapist (PT) license, current BLS (American Heart Association) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including home health and OASIS experience preferred. Valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance are required.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with an expected 40 hours per week. One weekend per month is requested but not mandatory, and holiday work may be required.
Additional Information:
The position involves travel to multiple patient locations, with mileage reimbursed at the GSA rate with prior approval. Orientation will be conducted over three weeks, including online learning and in-field precepting, with solo practice expected by the end of the second week. Scrubs are recommended, and dress code is business professional.
