Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs to restore and improve physical function, and participate as a co-leader in interdisciplinary patient groups.
- Complete evaluations, establish individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapy interventions.
- Communicate care plans and discharge recommendations to patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain comprehensive, timely clinical documentation and ensure adherence to department deadlines.
- Supervise assigned therapy assistants and participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to patient stabilization and functional recovery through appropriate clinical techniques and tools.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required; only if obtained license on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent.
- Active Physical Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice required.
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
- Valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least two years of recent experience in the field.
- EPIC EMR experience required; must have EPIC experience.
- Education: DPT degree.
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting and travel for assignment.
