Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative treatments that help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety practices.
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or post-acute care experience preferred.
